The Latin American and Latino Studies minor enables students to acquire an in-depth, interdisciplinary understanding of the culture, economics, history, literature, and politics of the region.

Learning goals:

  1. Understand and communicate an argument in written and oral form based on original research focused on Latin America.
  2. Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills appropriate to an interdisciplinary approach to the region.
  3. Recognize and understand cultural texts and apply digital tools across different texts and contexts.
  4. Carry out activities and outreach in areas related to Latin America that enrich the intellectual and cultural lives of students, staff, and faculty at Rutgers University and the Camden community.
